ok, i'm going to try this again.
What is the worst city you've ever been to and why?
Submitted by Soup.
Hmm... Riverside. Bad air, mean drivers, terrible houses, worst weather evar, and terrible city management.
What is the best meal you've ever eaten at a restaurant?
Tanaka of Tokyo's East section in Waikiki. It was the first time I've been to a teppan restaurant and it was great. The scallops I ordered were the best scallops I've tasted.

13-14 hours, watching movies/eating and getting sore legs.
Somehow I managed to think that my English class was at 3:10 instead of 2:10. I was halfway there before I realized this when I looked at my cellphone. Really need more sleep.
What food item would you miss the most if it were removed from your diet and recipes?

Not entirely sure, but probably sushi or chips.
Decided to try and keep this thing alive. Started college this year, but all that hype people made about how it's going to be so different is really exaggerated. The only thing that is really different is having to walk more and living in a dorm. The workload is decent. Roommate and I get along fabulously, since I pretty much never see her and we're polar opposites.
Even though I'm a freshman myself, I do not have much love for my year. Especially for those who live above me, damn people do not know the meaning of respect. Dropping things that make noises as loud as a person dropping a bowling ball from the ceiling constantly is getting on my nerves. Hoping that the RA will be staging a meeting between the floors...
Other than that, life is fine even if this new city sucks.
Because of the whole crazy medical ordeal and my mother's car accident recently (she got rear-ended on her way to visit me at the hospital one night and her spinal cord's unfortunately a bit out of alignment as a result), our family's been feeling a lot of financial strain lately. As a coping strategy, since I can't work at my part-time job anymore, I've been applying for scholarships like crazy during this winter break. As long as they allow international students and I qualify otherwise, I'm pretty much entering.
One of the scholarships I've entered is the Brickfish "Show Us a Smile campaign". Basically, you submit an original photo of you (or a friend) smiling and hope that you're ranked high enough or popular enough to win. Normally, I avoid these type of things like the plague, as self-promotion makes me uncomfortable, but since I'm not exactly in the best situation right now, I'll swallow my pride for the sake of possibly easing a bit of our monetary troubles. This is where you all may be able to help, if you wish. My photo can be seen and voted for here. Contest goes from tonight until February 12, 2008, and you're allowed to vote once every 24 hours, so there'll be plenty of time for you to visit if you can't now. Thanks in advance; it's much appreciated!

“You have $100 to spend online in the next hour. How are you going to spend it?”
I’m a stationery whore. Even though I already have a ton of
it, I’m always looking for more. So, I’ll start this $100 online shopping spree
with “part stationery, part distraction” note cards from Anthropologie.com (1:
$12.00 Poste
Haste Paper Airplane Note Cards). I also “need” some file folders so why
not grab some Vintage Map File Folders while at Anthropologie.com (2: $15.00
Vintage
Map File Folders). If you can’t tell, I’ve got a thing for “vintage maps.”
I’ve also got a thing for skirts. I love skirts and I love dresses. My skirt to pants ratio is quickly becoming 4:1. Finding pants that fit is a pain anyway (I could never buy them online). So – skirts FTW and this particular skirt for the win right now (3: $42.00 J.Crew’s Luxe Knit Skirt in green).
Now – for more interesting and random things like band-aids… A brown banal band-aid will always do but, why deal with those when you can use cuter ones and earn compliments on your bandages (4: $2.00 Pretty Band-Aids). If it’s okay to cover ugly wounds with unnecessarily pretty bandages, it should be okay to cover ugly and burned DVDs with unnecessarily pretty labels (5: $3.00 CD Label Stickers). It’s also fun to mark books with unnecessarily pretty page markers (6: $2.00 Book Tags).
I “need” a case for my passport (7: $4.50 Cat Passport Case – my cat is white with green eyes).
It’s also time for me to retire my current cell phone charms (8: $4.00 Parisian Cell Phone Charm; 9: $4.50 Bibimbap Cell Phone Charm; 10: $3.50 Cat Cell Phone Charm).
I'll end with a few sets of lovely stickers, stationery FTW (11: $1.50 O-Check Design Label Stickers; 12: $1.50 O-Check Vintage Stickers; 13: $6.00 Jamsan Make Diary Stickers).
Grand Total: $99.50 or thereabouts
In real life, I got this in toffee from the mall (RL: Flare Trench Coat).
C.net— Don’t forget to visit my photoblog (S.A. Waltz). I update it more than I update this…
I'm letting you go with the small hope that you'll eventually find your way back, but the knowledge and wisdom to understand that chances are...you won't. You will probably get yourself together and be amazing for the next girl, but it won't be me. I could've waited longer, I could've been more patient. I could have, but I won't. It's not right. I think we both wish it is and could be, but it was time to call it in.
I'm letting you go so we can both be free.
If you ever need me, you know how to reach me, but for now, it's better to say goodbye.
